An idea born in 2011 by two Adobe Education Leaders led to an amazing world wide competition! The whole idea was born because the two teachers wanted to let their students work together, across the borders. One teacher (Matthijs Clasener) was based in The Netherlands and the other (Dusty Parrish) was teaching in Texas, USA.
The students they where teaching where trained in the area of the moving image: Film and Animation. Matthijs and Dusty came up with the idea to do a video and sfx assignment in a format of a competition like The voice of..
Student teams where formed out of approx 5 students and both schools have send in three teams. Four teams where eliminated in a timespan of 8 weeks and several online presentations leading to two finalists at the end of the competition.
The teaching crew itself was responsible for narrowing down and eliminating in order the have their strongest teams in the finals. A world wide jury of awesome educators made the final decision.
Students where thrilled to have joined in this competition and have a look at students in an other country.
